Your Practicum and Future Opportunities
One of the goals of this two-course cycle is to allow you to develop as a public health professional with the benefit of instructors and peers. Among the other developmental aspects, you should be exploring professionalism and leadership. Discuss professional and leadership opportunities that you are seeing in the public health field as a result of completing your practicum. These opportunities can be specific to you personally or reflect your observations and analysis of the current conditions in the public health field. Address but do not limit yourself to the following questions:
- What implications do these opportunities have for the target population, organization, or community?
- What implications do these opportunities have for the field of public health as a whole?
- What implications do these opportunities have for developing informed solutions to public health issues?
- What implications do these opportunities have for communicating professionally across the public health discipline?
